I am not allowed to get away with outrageous generalisations on Tarboard, so I don't see why John Wilson should. To describe Mrs Blackett as a member of the 'idle rich' and a local land-owner is a statement unsupported by any evidence. However, I am not going to pursue this. Expressions like 'idle gentry' and 'horrible upper-class' are give-aways for a 'class warrior'. It is a complete waste of time arguing with class warriors. I think I am moving into John Lambert's camp.
