I spend six months in NZ and must agree, in many respects that happy land is behind the times. For instance, when I was there, crime was almost non-existent, there was no pollution, the people were the most hospitable I have ever met, etc. etc. That was in the 1960s, though, and I'm sure NZ has caught up with the rest of the world, more's the pity.
