Andrew will no doubt add more seeing that his boat is at the moment afloat in what was once the pond for Woodbridge Tide Mill,,,,,,,
but high tidal range is not needed as long as the pond has enough volume.
I don't know if there is another but the mill at Woodbridge on the River Deben is in working order, not commercialy, but well worth a visit.
Andrew, didn't Goblin bring up under Shotley Spit in the old Barge anchorage? I must look it up,,,,,,,,,,,
