Here in Southern Ontario we call it a cottage; in Northern Ontario they call it a camp and in New Zealand it's a bach. All three refer to a wide range of comfort and convenience. My cottage is far less fancy than the bach I was fortunately able to stay in on Mercury Bay in the North Island of New Zealand. This is not a bay polluted by mercury but rather the place where Captain Cook observed the transit of the planet Mercury. I'm not exactly sure what this means but I have no doubt that I will soon be educated ;>)
