Harry is right. I have already been disquieted by the fact that the bulk shipments for Canada, Australia and New Zealand had been in the post over a month. Even allowing for Christmas, this is unsatisfactory. The Mailing House are asking pointed questions of their consolidator, and in any case, we intend to send Signals (due out early February) by a faster means.
All I can say to our overseas members is I am very sorry, but obviously something has gone wrong. Speculation (in the parallel thread to this) that we ignore the colonies
is wholly unfounded.
What is a Consolidator? you ask. Our Mailing House send their parcels to the Consolidator, who is supposed to combine them with others to make up a large enough shipment to go air freight at economical rates. The receiving consolidator breaks up the bulk pack, and posts the parcels to their local destinations. At least, that's what's meant to happen, but it doesn't seem to have worked this time.
