When my daughter had finished reading S & A, she suggested we go out and draw a map of the surrounding area. We were living on one of the islands of Hong Kong at the time, and to my everlasting regret, I turned her down because it was such a hot muggy day. Childhood is so short, and a child's imagination even shorter. I wish, I wish I had put up with the heat and the humidity to help her live out the adventures of the Walkers and the Blacketts. She's 26 now and I know that opportunity will never come again.
