Someone suggested that Cook slept in a compartment in the kitchen and someone else said that Beckfoot had a boxroom, perhaps in the attic, but we don't know where.

I suggest it would have been more likely that Cook slept in the attic - and quite possibly with another servant considering the date of the books and the Blacketts' background.
