Hello everyone.

How do you all like the Arthur Ransome Pages these days? I would like lots of feedback. I have had some recently and I might be able to do a fair bit of maintenance work soon to "my bit" of the AR Pages [the ones in California on arthur-ransome.org]. The most recent improvements have been made by Tim Johns
[his wonderful Arthur Ransome Literary Page and beginnings of a new Nancy Blackett Trust page] and Ian who continues to improve this Tarboard, and now the Centreboard and Dick's Pocket Book. Now I must also mention the contributors to these three sites, and the ARboard in Japan: you don't need any special WWW knowledge to add your own touch to the World Wide Web, and the lively discussions on the three forums and the useful links on Dick's Pocket Book make up the most fun and fastest-growing part of all the AR pages.
In Japan [where I am now] I notice many Ransomites are making [or want to make] their own
AR pages. If you have a personal page, even if it isn't very ransomeish, you can put a link on Dick's Pocket Book.

I am happy and proud to say that I started the AR pages [and I made the first-ever AR page on the Web!] but now Arthur Ransome's presence on the Internet is most definately the work of a large team. Now I feel that I am in the "slow lane" of the Information Superhighway, because other people's additions to the AR Pages have more hi-tech features and generally look cooler than mine; so I must improve my pages to catch up. Please, if you have any suggestions for improvements, write to me: tarsnet@arthur-ransome.org
Also, if you want to become part of our production team, please let me know: a couple of extra WWW editors would be a great help! You can make an "official" addition to the Arthur Ransome Pages [like the Literary Page for example] or do your own personal one [we will almost certainly still link to it], and if you make an "official" page, you can run it on your own server or we can put it on the main arthur-ransome.org server for you, whichever you like.

I am too lazy to give links to all the above sites I mentioned, but they are all accessable from the main page:
