John, to answer one of your other questions, Secret Water is set on and around Hampford Water and The Naze, south of Harwich on the east coast of England. And like the Broads books as opposed to the Lakes ones, the terrain is accurate - take a look at a map of that area and you will indeed see Secret Water. (Swallow Island is really named Horsey Island, and The Wade really exists, and so forth.)
