Certainly possible, Ed. There was plenty of disease around. My own grandfather died in 1919 from an illness (blackwater fever) contracted whilst in uniform during the war. My father was in an isolation hospital with diptheria. And there was the terrible 'flu epidemic. But we are still struggling a bit to keep Nancy young enough, if she is, say, two years older than Peggy. We could try coronary failure, brought on by 'flu contracted in 1919, killing him in the early 20's.
