Further to what happened Bob Blackett, in Swallowdale the GA has criticised the upbringing of N & P and N says
"It was about us of course. She dragged father in. We knew becuase after we'd gone to bed we couldn't help hearing Uncle Jim talking to mother just outside our window, and he said, 'Bob would have like them as they are.'" (Jonathan Cape p. 223)

Along with the other referecnes that people find, that obviously shows that Bob died tragically and when N & P were very young. Does this reflect AR's own life or if pure ficiton did he have a 'history' for his characters?
