Today it is probably impossible for young people to get a clapped out hulk

I saw a Mirror dinghy with good sails, spars and road trailer, and no rot - just needing a little paint - going for £200 at a car boot sale ( Wray Fair ) last year - compares quite well with playstation, X-box, Nintendo etc. per foot... but then there's another £100-ish for a couple of buoyancy aids and some wet socks.

yup, think access to water and storage the problem in most areas, as well as up front costs
