Not so much a report, more an excuse,,,,,,,,,
I'll leave the actual AGM report to others naturally but from a sailing point of view I feel a bit of a fraud. ;(
We, Patience and me, sailed from Heybridge Basin to the pontoons of the Royal Harwich Yacht Club to meet others of like mind, Peter Duck, Ragged Robin (ex Lottie Blossom) and Nancy Blackett aka Goblin.
Broken gaff jaws (don't ask) and a duff starter motor (don't ask again) kept us alongside for the weekend while works were carried out.
Lots of TARS enjoyed an hour or two sailing on AR's boats and many of them stopped for a chat with a grease stained grumpy old man over his open tool chest,,,,,,, thank you all.
The weather was kind. Lots of sun but not much wind, so though sailing Patience would have indeed been easy (!), sailing back onto an inside pontoon berth with guests on board was a non starter. I did manage a short sail on Andrew C-B's Mirelle and was invited for longer, but duty and guilt took me back to the tool kit.
Oddly enough I had a good time,,,,,,,,,,,,
