Opera is an alternative, but most ordinary Internet users are going to be using Microsoft's Internet Explorer (even AOL users, as the AOL broswer is just IE with their own branding and 'look'). Ideally, you need to build the site and then try it out on as many browsers as possible; but you'll find there will always be something that doesn't work on Netscape! Anyway, good luck!
