I think I remember AR and the Ancient Mariner trying to smoke tea leaves once when the 'baccy ran out. Not a happy experiment,,,,,
For the record my own boat has a dedicated 'baccy locker containing half a box of Dutch cigars, four oz of 'Plum Pudding' pipe mixture and ten 2oz packets of Golden Virginia,,,,,, enough for a month or so, but not if Captain Flint smokes at his normal rate . Drinks locker is pretty well stocked as well, Medicinal Purposes Only, naturally.
Anyone who would like to collect tobbaco tins to keep salt in may apply on board,,,,,,,,:)
