Did a scan of all 12 books for "shiver" and ignoring those references to trembling kind of shivering, as in chilly conditions, I find that there are 68 occurances of timbers being shivered, including the one where TITTY says the pet phrase, as she is translating what SMT means in Nancy's message (as previous note has pointed out.) Some of this timber shivering is done by Peggy, especially in WINTER HOLIDAY, where she is "standing in" for absent Nancy.

Now that we have that extremely vital numberical statistic, I'm not sure just what we are supposed to do with this critical information.
