As Richard implies, "Their Own Story" appeared in "Arthur Ransome & Captain Flint's Trunk", by Christina Hardyment, where it makes up most of Chapter X. And it is indeed out of print.
HOWEVER there is one copy left, it's part of the bookstall stock of the Nancy Blackett Trust, and it will be auctioned on June 14 at the Trust's AGM, along with lots of other interesting titles. E-mail etc bids accepted. E-mail me for a catalogue.
