Peter, thank you very much for your kind remarks, on behalf of the folks who contribute to SfT (including TARSCanada, who contributed the quiz!).
Since we haven't really managed to put very many actual events together in the U.S. it follows that our newsletter is going to be less about notifications and reports, and more focused on contributions and to some extent administrivia items which can't be soaked up somewhat automatically at AGMs and the like (such as the existence of the Society Stall and the Library, for example). I see similar characteristics in the Canadian newsletter I think. On the other hand our Australian colleagues do seem to manage to get together, and their newsletter seems to me to be an amalgam of the UK and Overseas newsletter types. Japan is of course different yet again, with the links to the ARCJ.
