From Swallowdale, Chapter XV:

"It's (Swallowdale) far the best camp we've ever had," said Mate Susan . . .
"Not counting Wild Cat Island, of course," said Titty.
"It isn't an island," said Susan, "so it can't be as good as that. It's the best of all our other camps."

Given this is only the second of the "real" books, and in SA they hadn't had any camping gear, what could their "other" camps have been? Horseshoe Cove and, by stretching, the Peak at Darien are the only possibilities I can come up with. Nowhere else in their history do they mention camping, although going sailing as a family activity is a fairly common reference.
