I bet Commander and Mrs. Walker hated the First Lord of the Admiralty just as much as Roger and Titty, although they were unlikely to say so. Just imagine, "Daddy and Mummy were to sleep afloat in the Goblin. The five Swallows and Sinbad the kitten were to camp ashore." Very romantic, and no need to worry about Pin Mill's thin walls! It sounds like good planning to me, and would have worked well except for that First Lord's spanner....
