I agree completely with Robert Hill that the Swallows' not knowing whose birthday it was is quite inconceivable. I still do not have access to my books, but I seem to remember that one of them (John?) wonders if it might be his?? My four know EXACTLY when their (and their siblings') birthdays are, and generally work in a reminder at least once a week with six months to go -- in casr the APs overlook one, presumably. As soon as the new calendar comes out, they sit down and work out which day of the week each birthday will be.
