With reference to Prue's preceding note as to what happened to our imaginary childhood friends in those final few days before World War Two exploded, the work that she has produced, as yet unfinished, the work that I contributed to with my little bit (What happened to Bob Blackett) is what we are referring to as "Swallows and Amazons At War", which in this forum is sometimes called SAATWAR. The lack of permission for publication does put somewhat of a damper on the enthusiasm to finish the writing of this item, so it must take a back seat when one has to prioritize one's time. Any further work on it therefore becomes a labour of love only, not for any prospect to do something officially with it. It is a fun thing to play with. There is also the prospect of advancing the concept to move on into the war years as well, so see "what happened" in all that confusion, as well as to perhaps speculate a bit on certain romantic possibilities, as to who winds up with whom, a subject that is bound to stir up controversies among those who read a particular version of our imaginary friends.
