At the risk of being accused of pedantry again: it was Ian Fleming's brother Peter who wrote about his Tibetan adventures with a female companion in "Travels in Tartary". As he points out, the book sits a little awkwardly with his previous account of travel adventures entitled "One's Company". However, my favourite Peter Fleming is his "Brazilian Adventure" about his abortive and frequently comic search for a missing explorer in central Brazil.
