Bill Wright's timeline of the adventures has CC at Easter 1932 and PP, WDMTGTS, SW and BS (in that order) all in Summer 1932

There's a snag with that. In WDMTGTS AR directly mentions "The radio masts at Bawdsey" which are visible as they sail back in daylight. Those would have to be the early Radar masts of the future Telecommunications Research Establishment at Bawdsey Manor. But the experiments didn't start before 1934 and the masts at Bawdsey wouldn't have been there before 1935 or 36. WDMTGTS was published in '37, so AR would have seen them by then. 35 is quite possible, but 1932 sounds terribly early.

That implies that all the 1932 dates should be slipped down by maybe three years. Is there any other date (a hard winter in 31/32 for example) that provides a fixed point for the books?

Of course, it's AR's world, and the time is his time and could be elastic as you like...
