Glad you enjoyed Joe's site. In answer to your query, there is a whole range of booking options for Hunter's boats, from two days through to a full week. Prices also vary depending on time of year. For a Lullaby (four/five berth) prices this year range from £402 to 505 for a full week. For a Wood (three/four berth) they are £332 to 402. They also have a fleet of smaller Hustlers (which we didn't use as the ratio of skippers to juniors is poorer) priced at £300 to 383.

What makes Hunter's so ideal for a junior event like this (apart from the boats being unmodified 1930's yachts without engines) is the fact that Hunter's operates the Norfolk Heritage Fleet Trust to promote youth sailing. For bona fide youth groups they give hire discounts of 40 - 50% on the hire costs mentioned above, making an event such as Coots from the North excellent value for money. To qualify you need to organise the group so that there is just one adult per yacht as skipper.

If you want to hire one of their yachts privately you'd need to plan well ahead, as they are highly popular. I placed the booking for our yachts 18 months in advance and even then had problems getting a week when four yachts were still available from their fleet.

Hunter's have an informative website on www.huntersyard.co.uk

Geraint
