While turmot may be Manx dialect for turnip, the Isle of Man is a long way from Norfolk

But it's nice and close to the lakes- didn't they see it from the top of Kanchenjunga?

Again, I don't suppose we can do a thumbs down on AR for using an expression he may have heard in Lakeland in the context of working men's sons in Norfolk.
