I've always thought that the D's were a little soft when it came to such matters of skinning small animals. I'm sure that Jackie was doing such acts at the age of six just to help his Mom out in the kitchen. I never got to skin a rabbit until I was an adult (now I can't remember how many). We do it occasionaly as a part of our winter survival training in the army. Really its just an excuse to have a fine meal. The thing is dead and therefore is supper. What is worse? Twisting its frightened little neck (Something the D's didn't do). Spilling the guts? Cutting the throat inside and the intestines around the anus? Breaking or cutting through the bones to remove the paws? Or peeling the body out of its skin?

So much of our modern society is so distanced from the reallities of food production. We should all take a lesson in lifes basics. Credit to the D's for doing the task, many wouldn't.
