John -

Did a FIND on "bate" and found one reference to that word,
along with several references to "debate".

We all understand what debate is, dat is what you put on de
hook to catch de fish.

Thanks, John, for letting me feel like typing in all that
wonderful stuff was quite worthwhile.

May I ask what prompted your question regarding the usage
of the word, "bate"?

Here are the results of the command:

FOR %R IN (??CH*.TXT) DO FIND /I "BATE" %R >>\BATE.TXT

This of course assumes the current subdir is where all
twelve books are contained, as one chapter per file.

The "/I" says, IGNORE upper/lower case differences when
looking for matches.

In case my code is not obvious, the first two characters
of the filename suggests the name of the book, using a rather
commonly used two character shorthand for the bookname, and
the number is a chapter number.

Anything else I can look up using this technique? Anyone?
