That's odd. Coffee is often served with cream in England, in fact I sometimes have to ask specifically for milk instead of cream. Perhaps it depends on where you are asking for it.
As for Budweiser, my sentiments exactly. It's a tribute to the power of advertising. Huge numbers of young people have been persuaded it's fashionable. Meanwhile, the Campaign for Real Ale do their best to stop English beer disappearing completely in a flood of lager.
The views you express are, I think, only on the West Coast. Very cold, nationally advertised beers seem all that is available on the East Coast. In New York I once allowed my beer to warm up, since it had no taste when ice-cold. I then discovered why it is always served like that. It became totally undrinkable.
And now, to quote Asterix in Britain, we should stop arguing or our beer will get cold.
