In SA, Young Billy refers to a conversation in a pub about the contents of Captain Flint's houseboat.

The Broads books are awash with pubs, from the Roaring Donkey to the Berney Arms, and the Goblin books refer to two, the Butt and Oyster at Pin Mill and the Bristol Arms at Shotley. At no point does a child actually enter licensed premises, apart from the postscript to BS, where they are allowed in to admire the pike in his case.

We East Anglians must be a boozy lot - or maybe we have better beer?
