Mike:

If you have never had a beer from Australia called "Black" then you have missed one of the world's great beers. Not as thick as a Guiness, beautiful cold and the most gorgeous white froth.

Of course after 40 miles on a dusty trail even a Fosters "which is Australian for Gnats water sold from a Canadian brewery to unsuspecting Americans" looks good.

But a Black on a Friday night is just the way to enjoy a pub on a cold winters night. Of course there are other great beers: Shiner Bock, Tootheys Red, Guiness and the list goes on.

I must say after 13 schooners of Black the world is a far different place. (13 times 15 ounces per schooner is 12.1 pints) but we shall not transgress to that memorable night of youthful indulgence. I am not sure I could get past 2 schooners now without doing a Susan in WDMTGS.
