Coincidental, just yesterday I watched Apocalypse Now on a long bus ride. This Vietnam war movie took much of it's theme from Heart of Darkness. I had also just read Conrads story last winter.

Did Conrad write the short story, The Most Dangerous Game. This is a story about a big game hunter on an island who also likes to hunt humans, one on one. When I was reading Heart of Darkness it reminded me of this story I had read long ago.

On Bow sprits, the St Lawrence II Brigantine has a sprit that is sanded clean and refinished with a spar varathane each winter. In all sorts of light it gleams all summer in all light levels.
