Buchan:

I have read all the Hannay novels. I believe that it is the Hostage one where the tale ends up on a island somewhere in Scandanivia and they are looking for someone who has been kidnapped. So to summarize:

1. Teh thread started with a discussion on beer.
2. I made reference to beer flowing like a Danish stream
3. I was asked to clarify the statement
4. I mistakenly used a memory of a long lost photo on a clients wall- the client took the photo during a trip to Scandanivia. It shows a large rock cliff - boulder with a house on the right hand side up a little valley and a very large stream flowing over the left hand side of the boulder cliff. The boulder would have been 100 metres across and more likely an extrsuion of some sort. It had been swept smooth by water and ice obviously.
5. I referred to Buchan and his adventure in Scnadnaivai
6. I am compleletly lost now, but must ask the obvious question
Do Norwegians and Swede drink beer?
What country would CF ben touring in PM with his sister on the cruise?
What country was Hannay's Hostage Island in-our library does nto have these books or I would go look it up.

I will now return to things I know more off. Metric.

John
