I read that one first and one wondered the story was behind it, and so I went and hunted out John McNab.
I like the Thirty Nine Steps as well, i could almost see the S&A's embroiled in that if they were a touch older. The 1930's movie of the Thirty nine steps did not do it justice.
There is one other movie of that vintage which has a Scottish Laird coming home on leave from the war and he meets a girl on a train, I can just never remember its name? He lives in a big old castle a bit like the one in GN?
