During my merchant navy days, I listened to and copied the Shipping Forecast many, many times. You know the one - Dogger, Humber et cetera. The BBC broadcast it about 1800 every day, and likely more often. It was always given in a serious, matter of fact voice. Except once! The weather was rotten everywhere, and the reader, after saying, "That ends the Shipping Forecast," said, "And, gentlemen, there is nothing good about that, is there?"
