Dear Mike:

If you do not understand those albums just by the name - well then you probably have a hole in your life that needs to be filled.

But to explain:

Jethro Tull is an English band. Thick as a Brick is the quintessential story album without a story. As far as the passion play is concerned - I agree but I was only allowed one album per singer I thought and it was a hard choice. However the opening lines of Thick as a Brick are as good as a song gets. My thirteen year old died when I read them out loud to her.

Local Hero is a folk tale movie about Scotland - it is the quintessential Hollywood meets Scotland and Scotland wins movie. If you have not seen it then do so. Dire Straits wrote the music. If there is a better band for that sort of music then I am a monkeys' uncle.

The White Album is the Beatles White Album - for the nights when the world looks like it is going to end and Mate Susan has made an English curry with raisans and you need to escape to some place else.

The Harvest Album by Neil Young. If you do not know it I can not explain it, and if you do I do not have to.

The three tenors playing naked at the south pole - so I could realize how lucky I am to be on a warm desert island.
(I hate the three tenors.- This is Aussie humour at its best)

(I would sneak the Kelly's Heroes DVD in as music)
See the answer to Harvest. If there is a better movie it is S&A's

Beethovens Ninth Symphony I can not explain this one except to say it is brilliant

The Chieftains - an Irish band - probably The Long Black Veil

Of course if God Exists she (I am a Congregrational Church member with a female minister in an open and affirming church so she is a she)would give me
1. A Blue Lagoon - to swim in
2. Back to my 17 year old self - because I would rather be 17 on a desert island
3. 16 year old Mate Susan. - If I have to explain this then I refuse
4. A drug store up the road that sold coke (I drink coke a lot) and c...................( think about what 16 year old boys want from the drug store but are to afraid to ask. They make excellent water bombs)

5. Jeeves (to cook)
6. There is no six. (with 1 to 5 I would live a long happy and hopefully productive life)

So if anyone is lost still - email me and I will be more specific.
