I suspect that this means that more of us are accessing the Tarboard from places other than work

Do you think it may be true what we're being told about the increase in home broadband access?

Certainly it makes using a Web based interface much more pleasant- and often cheaper- than by dialup. Previously I'd only use services like email and Usenet where I could get the data rapidly in one download, and reply at leisure off line. Until I got ADSL I'd never have dreamt of using an online web based forum like this one, which is a much slower process and where you have to be online to compose your replies.

From work, of course, that used not to matter as somebody else was paying for a fast connection. Now, it's so much nicer from home.
