I feel alienated from BBC programmes because of the 'working class' look and feel of them (witness the 'Pompeii' programme tonight at which I did not know whether to laugh or cry). I wouldn't mind if the BBC wishes to pursue this particular section of the population, but I have to pay the blasted licence fee whether I like it or not. So I have to help pay for the dumbing down, and also for the squads of researchers which no one ever sees. Did I understand Peter Ceresole to say that he had worked for the BBC? If so, then it's a waste of time my arguing, isn't it? It's as much use as writing letters to 'Feedback'.
