The waather was cool and rainy while the rabbit hung on the hook in the Dog's Home. The interior organs of any dead animal, began to decay first, being the warmest. Usually game is hung AFTER being cleaned so the body cavity hangs open, enabling it to lose the body heat quite fast. After two days, even before cleaning, the rabbit would still have been fit to eat. Another day, however, would have been the absolute limit. Funny that AR says nothing about the flies that would have been investigating it.
