Of course she was - if she stuck by it - which is the key to anything. I started drawing and playing with clay at about three years old, by the time I was Dorothea's age, I had made some very corny stuff -- but, that is something even Mr. Ransome did before he became a mature writer.(Sometimes I look back on that early work and try to pick up on the essence of it!) I still have the drawings I did at age 12 of my version of the Swallows and Amazons! There is a photo of work I did when I was five in my portfolio as "Early Work". Keeps me on my toes - and folks really like to see where the artist came from! Definetely, Dorothea would go on to be a successful writer if she just kept on keeping on!
