given the politics that seem neverending
The irony of this remark is that the average UK TARS member (who does not read Tarboard - only a small proportion of the membership do) has no awareness of any 'politics' in TARS. Last Saturday I was at the Northern Region AGM in Yorkshire. We had a talk by Norman Willis (former TUC Chairman) in the afternoon and it was riotously funny. Most meetings are friendly and enjoyable. And yet this same old smear keeps coming up on Tarboard. Nothing could be further from the truth. Prue's preference not to join TARS has to be respected of course, but I wish she would make the decision for the right reasons. How can she judge whether TARS is 'political' from . . .how far is NZ from the UK?

Sorry to get a bit worked up, but I know several people who work very hard to keep the TARS show on the road and I've done quite a few hours myself recently, and it is infuriating when you read a ludicrous remark from the other side of the planet (or more likely a different planet if you ask me).
