Water divining has bever been explained scientifically to my knowledge. However it does seem to be a real phenomenon. My grandfather apparently possessed the ability to find underground water and was able to trace the path of an underground stream. I have never managed to use the forked sticks technique, but there is another method using bent wires which many people seem to be able to use to find water and other hidden object.
