Remember also that dowsing seems to work for some people and not for others, using the same sticks or rods. So there is some component provided or relayed by the human, whatever it may be. John might have to find a way to include the human element, one of the real difficulties with physically testing phenomena that seem to be dependent in part upon a participant or observer. It would be *really* interesting if one could detect not only the presence or absence of the movement, but whether it varied depending on the human. Of course we could wind up with the circular argument of whether the human is causing the phenomena via mechanisms or means other than actual water detection. Or, maybe there might be a way to start finding out what that human element is, and whether it can be replicated w/o the human.
