Production controller friend of mine went down to Clays who are involved in EATS, SHOOTS, AND LEAVES production and said they had just done another 60,000. Who would have believed that a book on punctuation would have sold 6000 copies let along 60K plus!

I had trouble following her section on quotation marks (largely because Alan Hakim and I have just had a big discussion off list about it, and I'm now feeling confused). But i'ts account of the correct use of the apostro'phe and makes travelling by bus and staring at the shop fronts very very entertaining.

When Arwen met King Aragorn in The Return of the King last night, I do not think my first thought was supposed to be, "She's having a really bad hair day". But it was.
