The Isles of Scilly lie about 30 miles SW of Cornwall and are absolutely gorgeous - the S. & A.s would have had a whale of a time there. plenty to explore, stacks of sea bird life for Dick, archaeology for his father, real wrecks, and a rich and romantic history to stir Dot's imagination.
