He's written some wonderful books about the Lake District. I expect that many Tarboard types would enjoy them.I like to imagine the Tigers of Coniston meeting the Swallows and Amazons. Or perhaps Dick would be the best candidate.
As far as reliable skiing in the Lakes goes I think it has always been a case of strike while the iron is hot, or the snow cold. Also pick your place. Grassy tops in the East better than rocks in the west.
