According to this copy of Superbrands I have here, it outsells Bovril by about 3:1. Another interesting fact from this fascinating and informative volume is that 'it is enjoyed by all members of the family'.
Though presumably not yours.
My three favourite ways of consuming Marmite (apart from on toast, obviously)
1. Fried Marmite sandwiches - a special after-birthday-party treat when I was young
2. As a drink - teaspoonful in a mug + hot water. I think it even tastes good if you forget it isn't instant coffee and add a dash of milk
3. Under peanut butter
