"BESS" - the name of the dog owned by Jacky's Father who brought the dog along to assist in the search for the missing G.A. in PM.
Bess is also the real name for PORT in CC.
It is not thought that these two are related in any manner, even though there is a similarity of name...
This just proves that eating marmite gives a bad breath.
