But wouldn't we all prefer it this way? Too many parts of Britain have ruined by local tourist board's exploitation of a literary connection. The worst example being, of course, Stratford upon Avon. As I live near Secret Water I would rather it stayed unspoilt and only known to those of us who read AR, than have the morons on the local council etc ruin with signs, shops and worse.
