I have wanted to see a complete series of films for a while now, I thought perhaps a complete cast could be employed filming the books over approximatly teh same timescale as they occur in, so that the characters appear to age naturally. I Think that it would be good if from the footage shot for each book two peices were produces, one a 1 1/2hour film and another 3 hour series (eg 3x1hour episodes) which would follow the book faithfully. Mind you a series like this would be probitivly expensive, and I don't think atht it will ever happen. I do think that Peter Duck would be a good book to film, but how to present it, I rather liked the idea of starting (and ending?) with the scene from 'Their Own Story' (see Captain Flints Trunk, byt Christina Hardyment), starting teh story on a Wherry in Norfolk over the Christmasholidays, where they begin to compose a story better than S&A which has just been published (Though thay can't work out who by), just as AR orginally though of starting PD.
